S.T.O.P. Students Deliver Backpacks to Mitchell Elementary
On Friday, May 30, members of the fifth-grade S.T.O.P. (Students Thinking of Peers) group delivered 30 backpacks filled with school supplies to Mitchell Elementary in Plano. The counselor there was overwhelmed by our school’s generosity. Thanks to everyone who made donations and supported S.T.O.P. this year.
Special PTA General Meeting June 4
There is a special PTA General Meeting Wednesday, June 4, at 2 p.m. in the Andrews library. At this meeting we will vote to approve the 2014 budget and the PTA executive board members. If you are interested in what PTA does or becoming more involved please attend.
Caitlin Ramirez Wins Andrews PTA Scholarship
The Andrews Elementary PTA awarded a $500 scholarship to former Andrews student, Caitlin Ramirez, at the Senior Day reception on May 22. Caitlin is the daughter of Irene and Angel Ramirez and sister to Isabella, seventh grade, and Nicholas, an Andrews fifth grader.
